BERTA OJEA PRESENTA "A ÚNICA, MARIA CASARÈS" EN PADRÓN
A traxectoria vital e artística da actriz María Casares (A Coruña, 1922- Alloue, Francia, 1996) centra a charla que ofrece a intérprete galega Berta Ojea o venres 22 de marzo ás 18:00 horas na Casa-Museo de Rosalía de Castro (A Matanza, s/n), organizada polo Centro de Información á Muller de Padrón. "Foi unha intelectual, cun compromiso absoluto co seu tempo, que atravesa o século XX", afirma Berta Ojea, que auspiciou a publicación en KALANDRAKA do libro «A única, María Casarès», escrito por Anne Plantagenet e traducido por Isabel Soto.
María Casares chegou a ser unha das actrices máis admiradas de Francia, triunfando no teatro e mais no cine baixo a dirección de destacados directores como Marcel Carné, Robert Bresson ou Jean Cocteau. Alén da súa relación actor Gérard Philipe e co escritor e filósofo Albert Camus, foi unha muller libre, valente e perseverante. Esta biografía, que veu a luz co gallo do seu centenario, preserva a memoria dunha das grandes referencias do exilio. Trátase dun texto fluído e moi documentado que se le como unha novela, contando a historia -dentro e fóra dos escenarios- dunha actriz recoñecida internacionalmente que nunca renunciou ás súas raíces galegas.
Berta Ojea coñeceu a María Casares en París no ano 1989 e a amizade entre ambas as dúas prolongouse durante moitos anos, compartindo longas conversas: “Era unha artista inmensa; tiven a oportunidade de ver a grandes actores, pero nunca sentín aquela enorme grandeza que tiña María Casares no teatro, que se transformaba en cada función".
