"EL ELEFANTE QUE PERDIÓ SU OJO" EN LA LIBRERÍA MUGA
«El elefante que perdió su ojo» es el nuevo libro del narrador camerunés Boniface Ofogo, tras «El león Kandinga» y «A paso de tortuga». Se trata de cuentos tradicionales africanos, que vienen transmitiéndose de generación en generación desde tiempo inmemorial. La librería Muga de Madrid acoge el jueves 23 de noviembre un encuentro con el autor, a partir de las 18:00 horas, para presentar esta obra ilustrada por Marc Taeger.
El protagonista de esta historia acostumbraba a quitarse un ojo para jugar con él como si fuese una pelota. Un día lo lanzó tan alto que acabó cayendo al río y, como no conseguía encontrarlo, perdió completamente los nervios. Cuanto más se agitaba, más difícil le resultaba encontrar su ojo, hasta que una niña que lo observaba le ayudó a dar con la solución. «El elefante que perdió su ojo» aborda la importancia de mantener la calma para afrontar las dificultades.
Boniface Ofogo nació y se crio en una aldea del interior de Camerún. Estudió Filología Hispánica. Ha sido mediador intercultural en el Ayuntamiento de Madrid y desde 2005 se dedica a recorrer colegios, bibliotecas y centros sociales relatando historias. Es especialista en fábulas, leyendas, mitos y tradiciones del África negra. Ha actuado por toda España (Maratón de Cuentos de Guadalajara, Fórum de las Culturas de Barcelona, Festivales de Oralidad de Jaca y Elche) y numerosos países: Francia, México, Cuba, Brasil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, Cabo Verde, Marruecos…
